![]() An OS X port by Feral Interactive followed shortly thereafter, on 23 July. ![]() The game was released for Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on 12 June 2015 to coincide with the theatrical release of Jurassic World. It adapts the plots of the first four films in the Jurassic Park franchise, and is part of a series of Lego-themed video games. If I am being honest though, these are really quite minor issues.Lego Jurassic World is a Lego-themed action-adventure video game developed by TT Fusion and published by Warner Bros. ![]() There is less of a sheen to the overall presentation and it appears as though on occasion there is either no, or minimal antialiasing going on during certain parts of the game, thereby producing some obvious jagged edges. Having played the game on an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 previously, it is definitely noticeable that the characters and environments lack a certain level of polish, literally. Graphically this Switch version delivers, mostly. Most of the major characters from the franchise have had their voices lifted straight from the movies, and when we are talking about a film that is 26 years old, and the developers have tried to filter out some of the background noise, we end up with some occasional muffled or fuzzy audio. Jurassic Park and Jurassic World being set upon Isla Nublar, Jurassic Park Lost World and Jurassic Park III set on Isla Sorna.Īll lifted straight from the films, and let us be honest, that Johnny Williams knows how to bang out a good old tune. Jurassic World, then was a breath of fresh air. The sometimes dark and confined areas of those games also gave them a somewhat clunky and restrictive nature. Combat has never been a strong suit of the Lego games, and the focus upon combat within the DC and Marvel titles is where they fall a little flat. LEGO Jurassic World was one of TT’s finer Lego games and the nature of Lego games formula fits within the Jurassic Park/World franchise perfectly. In short the answer is a resounding yes, Dr Malcolm, they should. After all, this year’s peak season will see a deluge of titles being released onto the Switch, all vying for gamers cash and time. However the question the esteemed Dr Ian Malcolm raises, is more a matter of whether we need it. ![]() There was no doubt as to whether or not the Nintendo Switch could handle a port of the 2015 game LEGO Jurassic World, it was originally released on the last generation of consoles, including the much-maligned Wii U. They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should… ![]()
