Google Play and the App Store will tell you if your device is compatible – just follow the links below to check. The Fish Deeper App is compatible with more than 9,800 smart devices that use either Android or iOS operating systems. How far can you cast a deeper?Ĭast your Deeper PRO or PRO+ to the spot you want to scan ( up to 100 m / 330 ft away ) and reel it back in. Please note the maximum connection range of 100m / 330ft for the PRO/PRO+/CHIRP, 50m / 165ft for the START can be achieved only in perfect conditions. An internet or cellular network signal is not needed. How far can you cast a Deeper CHIRP?Īll Deeper devices create their own Wi-Fi signal which is used to send sonar data to your smartphone or tablet. The only difference between the Deeper Pro and Pro Plus (besides the price) is the mapping function The Pro Plus boasts an internal GPS receiver which allows you to create bathymetric contour maps, even if you’re using it from land. What’s the difference between deeper pro and deeper Pro Plus? It’s a tool that can help you to really improve your carp fishing, or elements of it at least. It certainly isn’t cheating – far from it. Having been a little sceptical about the merits of using a sonar, I was hugely impressed with the Deeper Pro Plus. Instead of pinging a single frequency like traditional 2D sonar, CHIRPing devices transmit a sweeping range of frequencies.Īccurate scanning in water from 6” to 330ft deep Precise 0.4” target separation. Is CHIRP better than sonar?ĬHIRP fishfinders transmit a longer pulse than traditional sonar, putting more energy into the water column, with a true broadband frequency range of up to 117kHz. The Deeper PRO+ and CHIRP+ has an inbuilt GPS receiver This means that these models do not need to be in the same location as your smartphone in order to create maps, so you can map by casting it out. This unit provides everything an angler needs for a day of fishing and then some. It is durable, stands up to the test at -15F and works great at long distance even when the battery is low I believe Deeper CHIRP is a big step forward in wireless fishing sonar technology. I am truly impressed with the Deeper CHIRP. So, what is CHIRP? The key difference between the Deeper Pro+ and CHIRP+ models is in the transducer used and how many, and how often, ultra-sound pulses are sent out into the water column. The latest ones also give the best detail the sand coloured one works best from what i have been told it's not just the deeper nearly every lake including syndicates is mapped out on the deeper site, get the app and you can work wraps out water depth and shelf changes you can sign up with a debit card and cancel anytime, gives you satellite maps so you can see trees and bars. What is the difference between Deeper CHIRP and CHIRP plus? I would have thought that to pay £300+ for one of these you may as well get a bait boat. It seems to me that the newest one charges quicker and lasts longer but the difference apart from that isn’t apparent to me ? Im not very tech minded anyway but can anybody clear this up for me in layman’s terms ? Its just that I’m having difficulty understanding the difference between the different versions, especially the two newest versions. Not that I’ll be getting one especially, I have much more essential stuff to get/upgrade/find the money for. If anyone has used one of these new versions, it would be interesting to hear if it makes much difference in normal fishing situations. If this is the case does the CHIRP technology work on each of these three frequencies? And, for the frequency it works on, what is the range of frequencies in the pulse? This might be listed in the manual under specifications. So am I right in thinking you have to select which frequency you want to use (100, 240, or 675). Surely it cannot scan all three frequencies in one pulse? It would make the pulse far too long. It seems to infer that you can use all three frequencies using CHIRP technology. However, I cannot find my way past the marketing speak on their web site. I understand the science between different frequencies and I understand the CHIRP technology. I want to buy a new one but see that now there are a lot of options (with prices to match). Now the GPS does not work and I can only use it in “boat” mode using my phone’s GPS for position. I have to say it is a miracle of technology and have been very happy with it. I bought one of the very first Deeper sounders as soon as they became available.
